We've got like 3 inches of snow overnight (January 31 into February 1). The ground and the streets are all covered with a nice white sheet of fluffy snow.

Yes, we finally got a good amount of snow from bomb cyclone. It is still snowing as I am writing this blog. I will let you know how much we will get. It is going to be several inches.

Yes, sir. We had a snow storm in Holly Springs, NC today (January 22, 2025). It began to snow earlier yesterday night. We had a few inches of snow on the ground (1-3 inches). It is also very chilly (20 degrees F).

Cold Weather in April!

Today was cold for April. They are predicting a major storm for tomorrow bringing high wind, rain, and snow to some areas of the East coast. Yes, you read it right, snow! Go figure!

Old Man Winter Has Not Arrived as Yet This Year 2011/2012

Winter season should have been here for a while now since it began back in December 2011. In Holly Springs, NC Winter has not showed us his face as yet. Actually the temperature has been so nice, the flowers are blooming on the trees. The pictures shown here are taken today (January 29, 2012). They have been blooming for about 10 days now. Is it global warming? Well, not too fast! Weather forecast predicts that during the first week in February my town will see some snow on the ground, just a dust, but enough to let us know that Old Man Winter is here.

Snow and Ice in Holly Springs, NC (January 10/11, 2011)

This storm was not as strong as the previous ones. It left about half an inch of "white stuff" on the grassy areas. The pavements are covered with a thin sheet of ice. Wake County Schools are delayed 2 hours this morning. The End.
