What is going on in the Middle-East?

The Prime Minister of Lebanon suddenly resigned his post and went to Saudi Arabia. He has duel citizenship, a Saudi and a Lebanese ones. Saudi Arabia is demanding "The Party of God" in Lebanon to give up all its weaponry and transform into a political party. Both Israel and Saudi Arabia agree on this point. Iran is the primary supporter of the Lebanese Party of God. Saudi Arabia and Iran are harsh enemies. Bahrain is accusing Iran of terrorizing its territory by setting fires in its oil pipes. Yemen has fired a long-range missile toward Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. It was claimed by the Saudis that the missile fired by Yemen was made in Iran. It is a mess.

For History: Canada Announced that it Will Welcome All Refugees

Canada announced that it welcomed all refugees to its territory. This announcement came amid a decision from the United States to ban entry of all citizens from 7 countries (Syria, Libya, Iraq, Sudan, Somalia, Iran, and Yemen), including those who were seeking refugee status. The US decision was made citing security concerns.

Is Mosul's Battle Going to Be a Confrontation Between Iraq and Turkey?

Turkey is ready to enter Iraq to engage the Iraqi Army during Mosul's Battle. Iran is supporting the Iraqi Army in its push toward Mosul in order to get the terrorists out of Mosul. Turkey is a Sunni Muslim country while Iran is Shiite Muslim. The Middle-East is becoming more and more divided over these two powers and it appears that Turkey is resenting the encroachment of Iran into the affairs of Iraq. It should be noted that a similar situation is undergoing in neighboring Syria. The chess game between Turkey and Iran has gone too far, and the Arab World is beginning to take notice. It should be noted that American advisors are working with the Iraqi Army in its efforts to defeat the terrorist group known as ISIS. Russia is helping the Syrian government in combating ISIS in Syria. While USA is so far keeping its role at an advisory level and limiting its power against ISIS to the use of Air Force, Russia is fully engaging in the battles against the terrorist groups in Syria. In the next few days the attention of the media is going to focus on the battle in Iraq, and how the regional super-powers (Turkey and Iran) will act and how much restrain the major super-power (USA and Russia) will exercise in this conflict. The next and last presidential debate on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 will have this topic debated in details.  Mrs. Clinton has suggested in the past the establishment of "no-fly zone" over Syria while Mr. Trump favors supporting the Russians in getting rid of the terrorists. Stay tune to the news from the Middle-East in the next few days as the situation is becoming more and more serious. Major problem areas over there are Syria, Iraq, Yemen, and Libya.

Possible Moves on the Syrian Front

According to Middle Eastern journalistic sources, the Syrian government is considering moving the governmental operations from Damascus, the Capital, to Tartous or Latakeh, two cities located on the Mediterranean. This movement will be accompanied by Iranian troops entering Syria and occupying positions at the border between Syria and Israel. Other related news suggest that the latest aerial attacks on positions in the Qalamoun Mountains surrounding Damascus targeted assets belong to the Iranians. Iran accuses Israel of carrying out that aerial raid, while Israel denied that it did that attack, Rumors in the Arab world proposed that the planes that carried on that attack on the Iranian assets belonged to the Saudi Arabia Coalition (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Jordan, and Egypt) that is combating the Shiite rebels in Yemen. Iran (Shiites) and Saudi Arabia (Sunnis) are currently fighting surrogate wars in Syria, Iraq, and Yemen (and perhaps Lebanon) for the domination of that region (is it the Shiite Muslims or the Sunni Muslims?) Despite the fact that Saudi Arabia and Israel are in a State of War, there appear some coordination existing between the two old foes to support the Saudi cause against the Iranian plan. News from Middle Eastern reports suggest Saudi Arabia has agreed (tacitly) to allow Israeli war planes to fly over Saudi skies if Israel decided to attack Iranian nuclear assets. The Chess War game in that region is very fluid and can change any minute (literally speaking).
