A Smile

I saw you when you smiled; I knew what you were thinking about; you claim that you are my friend; NOT...You are just an evil person behind an evil smile...I don't want you to understand me or to judge me. I do not conduct my life based on your values...I assure you, it would've been a miserable life for me. You are so twisted in your brain, I feel sorry about you. I cannot wait until I tell you how I hated every minute of it...And, about that evil smile that you had on your face the other day, keep it to yourself because no one wants to see your ugly face with that terrible, evil, absolutely unwanted, stupid, and horrible smile of yours. When you smile the entire room turns dark...I deceitfully sometimes convince myself that may be you have changed...I won't think that way again anymore because I will keep that ugly, awful, evil, disgusting smile of yours in my memory every time I will see you...I cannot wait for the day I do not have to see you anymore...Love...your coffee buddy...

Christmas Eve 2018

The reason the good Lord has sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, on Christmas because He loves us. The sign of Christmas is our salvation. So, what is love?

"Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.

Love suffers long and is kind;
love does not envy;
love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;
does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;
does not rejoice in inequity, but rejoices in the truth;
bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never fails.

Faith, Hope, and Love & a Good Memory

The good book says that love is greater than faith and hope. However, love cannot be materialized without the other two. One needs faith to have hope, and then both of them lead to love. As any child expresses love to his/her parents, this act of expression of love is preceded by total faith and hope that the child has toward her/his parents. (The picture in this blog was drawn by one of my three boys when they were little. I found it tucked in inside the sleeves of a book that I am reading for the second time. It has been at least some 15 years since I bought the book. It must have been my oldest boy "EG" who had it made. He must have drawn it in a restaurant we were dinning at. His favorite was McDonald's, of course.)

I love her, but I really don't like her

Can you love someone without really liking that person? The answer to that is yes. Love is obligatory to be fully human. We ought to love everyone regardless whether we like them or not. Liking someone is based on mutual interest, friendship, understanding, and so on. No one can like everybody,but we must love everyone. Love is universal. So how can we love everybody. We do so by being kind, envy not, not being selfish, not easily provoked, thinking no evil about others, rejoice in the truth and not in iniquity. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. (1 Corinthians 13:1-7)

Mother Teresa once said-not exactly verbatum- "build it even if you knew they will destroy it overnight." Building things for positively contributing to the society is an act of love regardless of the consequences.

Umami Taste

You probably heard of sour, sweet, salty, and bitter tastes.  Have you heard of the Umami taste?  It is a Japanese word for delicious.  Umami taste buds on the tongue respond to glutamate, which is normaly found in milk.  I guess the good Lord knew how to make us eat when we were infants.  He placed something "delicious" in milk so that we crave it and drink it so that we get nouriched.  There is nothing on this planet created without a reason or a purpose.  The Bible tells us that the good Lord has already counted the hair on your scalp.  And, you still think He does not love you?  Think again.

Love

To love someone or even a critter (cat) is a positive energy. Love was found to improve the immune system, and people who fall in love live longer. To feel being loved by someone is perhaps the greatest feeling in the world. People attempt to define Love. I think no one needs to read the definition if you know it; it is a basic human feeling at its deepest sense. God is Love, says the Good Book. Love actually is not opposite to hate. It is opposite to emptiness, rejection, and hopelessness. Happy Valentine Day.
