Today is a big day in my microsome

Today is a very significant day for my family. My youngest son, JP, is turning 18 years. That means all my kids, all three of them, now are adults. We will be celebrating his birthday, and my wife and I will be celebrating a special day for us, the day that our "Babas" have turned adults.

Happy Birthday to Me

Today is my birthday, September 30th. Happy Birthday to me.

I was born on the same day that movie star James Dean died in a car accident riding his Porsche 550 Spyder (Little Bastard) on a California highway. He was 24 years old when the "Little Bastard" collided head-on with another car driven by a 23-year college student named Donald Turnapeed.

This site describes me in an excellent way. It is like I wrote this description myself. Great job!

" Libra: born on September 30 appear to be detached and aloof, but their personality resembles a volcano under an iceberg. With all their good grooming and perfectionist tendencies, they seem to have it all together but are actually rather explosive. They are focused on achievement and are willing to put all else on hold.Friends and Lovers

People born on this date can be headstrong and even a little unreasonable. They demand a great deal from friends, including undying loyalty. Romance comes with its own set of problems for these folks. They are romantic idealists who often fall for the wrong person.

Children and Family

September 30 people are often spoiled as youngsters. They may enjoy a close relationship with one parent and discipline may be sorely lacking. Once they become parents, they are forced to "grow up." Learning to be less self-centered is the very best lesson they can learn and helps them become nurturing and caring.

The health practices of September 30 people are generally motivated by their desire to remain attractive. Regular exercise and a diet rich in protein, calcium, and B-complex vitamins will bring the vitality they desire.

Career and Finances

People born on this date are effective bosses or supervisors because they can read a person's character, and they have the ability to motivate people. They think big and refuse to be limited by circumstance. They have the potential to make a great deal of money, but they frequently spend far more than they earn.

Dreams and Goals

September 30 people know how to get things done. They refuse to see the negatives, which is why they seldom fail. Even if they do, they see it as a temporary setback. They have an incredible appetite for life. They work hard, play hard, and never stop striving."

Although September 30th is my birthday I never celebrated my birthday when I was growing up in Syria. The Catholics in Syria celebrate instead their saint's day. Mine is on January 17th, after Saint Anthony the Hermit, which is also  coincides with another patron saint, Saint Sulpice.

President George W. Bush Does Not Like Red Jelly

Mr. Rush Limbaugh, the radio talk icon, once said that he got invited to the White House when then President George W. Bush (43) was still in office. It was to celebrate Mr. Limbaugh's birthday. During the dinner, Mr. Limbaugh had several items to choose from for his meal. Mr. Bush wanted a "peanut butter and jelly" sandwich. The President said to the waiter to make sure "none of this red jelly stuff, I want the grape one." Mr. Limbaugh's birthday cake was a replicate of his "Golden Microphone." This happened the last year President Bush was in office.

The Ten Commandments

EXODUS 20:1-17 (The Orthodox Study Bible)

"Now the Lord spoke all these words, saying;

I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me.

You shall not make for yourself an idol or a likeness of anything in heaven above, or in the earth beneath, or in the waters under the earth. You shall not bow down to them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, recompensing the sins of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate Me; but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.

Remember the Sabbath Day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: neither you, nor your son, your daughter, your male servant, your female servant, your cattle, nor your stranger who sojourns with you. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore, the Lord blessed the Sabbath Day and hallowed it.

Honor your father and mother that it may be well with you, and your days may be long upon the good land the Lord your God is giving you.

You shall not murder.

You shall not commit adultery.

You shall not steal.

You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

You shall not covet your neighbor's wife or his house, and neither shall you covet his field, nor his male servant, his female servant, his ox, his donkey, any of his cattle, or whatever belongs to your neighbor."
