The Syrian Civil War: An Update

Russia has arranged a Syrian National/International Peace meeting in Astana on July 12/13. Also, the Kurdish Militia along with the tribal Arab Syrian militia are organizing their troops to free the Syrian City of Raqqa from the foreign terrorists known as ISIS. These Kurdish/Tribal forces are supported by the USA. Meanwhile, in the Southern part of Syria, the pro-government troops are planning to attack the Syrian rebels positions in the City of Daraa. The USA has warned the pro-government troops not to attack the rebels positions. The Russians are supporting the pro-government troops. Hopefully, the Russians and the Americans are talking. No one wants WWIII.

No Electricity

Worldwide, 1.2 billion people still live without electricity in 2017. Amazing!

Quick News: Taaz, Yemen

Taaz, Yemen. The National Army Party took over a military base, AlTashrifat, in Taaz, Yemen. Scores of militants are injured or killed. The city has been under siege since the Coup d'Eta took place a couple of years ago.

Quick News: Shiraz, Iran...A Bomb Explosion

Shiraz, Iran. A bomb exploded today in the city of Shiraz, Iran, the 6th most populated city in the country. The bomb exploded in a busy market area of the town, and scores are feared injured or dead. This situation is still developing.

Daraa, Syria...Closing the Circle

Daraa, Syria. This is where the anti-government movement began in Syria in March, 2011. Today, the Syrian Coalition made of Syrian Regime forces and Iran-backed militia  began marching toward Darra to "free it from terrorists". Unfortunately for them, the anti-government rebels stationed in Daraa are supported by American military forces. The United States issued a warning to the marching army to halt its attack immediately before they face consequences. Not sure where this one is going? If Russia intervenes on the side of the pro-government forces, this would place the Russian Army in direct and opposite side to the American troops. Not good at all!

The Wall is on Its Way for Completion

Since 2014, Turkey began building a great wall between it and Syria at the border. It just announced quite recently that a similar wall will be raised at its border with Iraq and another with Iran. The USA is way behind Turkey in building its wall at the border with Mexico.

The Ten Commandments

EXODUS 20:1-17 (The Orthodox Study Bible)

"Now the Lord spoke all these words, saying;

I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me.

You shall not make for yourself an idol or a likeness of anything in heaven above, or in the earth beneath, or in the waters under the earth. You shall not bow down to them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, recompensing the sins of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate Me; but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.

Remember the Sabbath Day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: neither you, nor your son, your daughter, your male servant, your female servant, your cattle, nor your stranger who sojourns with you. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore, the Lord blessed the Sabbath Day and hallowed it.

Honor your father and mother that it may be well with you, and your days may be long upon the good land the Lord your God is giving you.

You shall not murder.

You shall not commit adultery.

You shall not steal.

You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

You shall not covet your neighbor's wife or his house, and neither shall you covet his field, nor his male servant, his female servant, his ox, his donkey, any of his cattle, or whatever belongs to your neighbor."
